As some of you may know the legendary studio known as telltale games is shutting down. I cant express how much of a blow this news dealt to me. This studio has some of the best games around. And If you haven’t played any of their games before I strongly recommend them.

The reason for the closure is because they weren’t selling enough games. I don’t know why people wouldn’t buy a telltale game but that’s what it is. A majority of their employees have been let go with only 25 remaining to fulfill the companys obligations to its board and partners. CEO Pete Hawley had this to say.

“Its been an incredibly difficult year for Telltale as we worked to set the company on a new course. Unfortunately, we ran out of time trying to get there. We released some of our best content this year and received  a tremendous amount of positive feedback, but ultimately, that did not translate into sales. With a heavy heart, we watch our friends leave today to spread our brand of storytelling across the games industry.”

Just reading that made me tear up a little. These guys made the best story telling games ever. All of their walking dead games hold a special place in my heart and game library. I cant tell you how many times I restarted a chapter because I made a certain character unhappy. Its because of their story telling that I grew attached to a fictional character enough to restart an entire chapter and lose that progress just to make it right.

The first game I have ever played of theirs was The walking dead. The very first one with lee, clementine, Kenny, duck… It was such an amazing work of art I played through it multiple times to get all of the possible endings. I loved every second of it. With that said please click on the pictures below to buy some of their games.
